Well America, we're missing the boat! The elections are all but over on the GOP side and can you believe it?! John McCain is looking like the winner! What in the heck is going on???? You know, I am not well versed in politics nor am I the smartest guy on the block, but you'd have to be a real idiot to think that this is the guy that will fight for conservative policies and traditions. I am sure there are supporters of McCain out there that will tell me I am full of it, but seriously. I mean what are you basing your belief in McCain on?
So here is my theory. It's not so much that the conservative base is supporting McCain but rather the conservative base is shrinking. As I watched the Florida votes come in I was dumbfounded to see John winning in a supposively "closed" GOP primary. I sat thinking, "Where in the world are all the Republicans?" And as I sat in awe trying to swallow what I was watching it came to me that they aren't there. They're gone. See ya wouldn't want to be ya! Here we have two gentleman running a tight race...one preaching true conservative values and the other running around with Joe Liberman by his side. Hello?! Anybody out there? Think what you want about Romney, changing position and all that junk, but look at Johnny boy. Has he ever made a conservative vote? You have to agree most conservatives feel that the Bush tax cuts were a positive step in helping our economy. Of course Mc didn't think so. Come on conservatives. I mean, what are we doing? Let's go, start the momentum and get someone besides McCain. I don't want to choose between two liberals this November.
